OAMTA meetings are held September through May, on Tuesday mornings at 9:15 AM. We conduct a business meeting, followed by a program. We have covered many topics of interest to the independent teacher, such as developing a brochure and a studio policy, dealing with the exceptional student, choosing appropriate literature for students at each level, preparing for competitions e.g., WMTA auditions and Solo-Ensemble, keeping students' interest, and many more.
A favorite part of our meetings are egg-timer questions. Anyone can ask a question that they need help or input with and the egg timer is flipped for short responses.
